About Demetria
I’m a piano teacher in the Bay Area, CA, where I teach beginner piano at several studios, in my home, and virtually. With two decades of teaching experience, I specialize in working with young beginners and love bringing energy, positivity, and creativity into every lesson.
I began studying classical piano at age nine while also building my ear training skills through live performance opportunities. Over the years, I’ve performed on piano and vocals at weddings and local events, and now I’m pursuing my passion as a singer-songwriter, working on publishing my first single in genres like Gospel, Jazz, R&B, and Neo-Soul.
Music is another huge part of my life, and I believe it can be a powerful tool for learning. Whether through songwriting, beginner piano, or fun music theory lessons, I love weaving music into education to inspire creativity and engagement. I can’t wait to help your child thrive through a mix of strong academics and joyful musical exploration!
I also enjoy exploring different music styles, continuing my professional development through MTNA, and—most importantly—inspiring students to discover confidence and joy through music.
