Hi, I’m Demetria — Your Piano Guide
Piano with Love
I’ve been passionate about teaching piano for over 20 years, starting with my own children. My eldest began learning with me at age 3 and is now a college graduate with a degree in music. Over the years, I’ve taught private lessons, homeschool groups, and led lessons at local schools and churches, helping many young beginners discover the joy of music.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development and a Master of Science in Interactive Technology, and I continue to grow my skills through the MTNA and the Orff Method. My teaching combines classical piano, ear-based learning, and creative, game-based activities to keep lessons engaging and fun.
A bit about me:
-
I studied classical piano from age 9 and developed my ear training skills playing at church.
-
I’m a singer/songwriter in Gospel, Jazz, R&B, and Neo-Soul — and I bring that love of music into every lesson.
-
I enjoy working with students of all ages, helping them build confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of music.
